CLASSES TAUGHT: Ballet and Contemporary Jazz
WITH PPAC FOR: 1 year
Joseph Nugent was trained at The school of Pennsylvania Ballet and The
North Carolina School of the Arts, both on full scholarship. He danced
professionally with Pennsylvania Ballet, Ballet Arizona, and The
Fort-Worth Dallas Ballet, where he was a principal dancer. Mr. Nugent had a
wide range as a dancer, easily moving from character to contemporary
and pure classical variation.
Described by PPAC founder Lisa Plumb as "The Jim Carrey of Dance" - Mr. Nugent uses his energy, knowledge, and his sense of humor to bring the best out of his students.
His unique teaching style (which often demonstrates his sense of humor) allows his students to enjoy learning and provides them with access to his ability to see and correct a dancer's fundamental problems.
His goal is to give his students inspiration to excel.
