Ballet Instructor Kelly Lee Roberts


CLASSES TAUGHT: Ballet / Ballet Performance

WITH PPAC FOR: 5 years

Kelly Lee Roberts has been teaching in the ballet department at PPAC since 2001. She was trained under scholarship at the prestigious schools of Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, School of American Ballet as well as American Ballet Theater School.

Mrs. Roberts performed in Milwaukee Ballet, American Festival Ballet, Arizona Dance Theater and a long stretch at Ballet Arizona from 1983-1993. Her professional dance credits include all of the classics such as Swan Lake, Raymonda, Coppelia, Firebird, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Napoli, Who Cares, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Tarentella, Don Quixote and over 450 performances of the Nutcracker!

Mrs. Roberts retired from the stage in 1993. She has taught at many of the valley’s fine ballet institutes over the years including ASU Dance Department and Ballet Arizona.

Kelly Roberts enjoys teaching the art of ballet to all of her students as well as choreographing at PPAC. Mrs. Schwartz and Mrs. Roberts collaborate each year to bring new ballet classics to the studio. This years ballet performance will be “Peter and the Wolf” and “Alice in Wonderland” as our spring ballet concert.

Mrs. Roberts’ husband Ed and her two children, Sabrina and Holly, frequent the studio on a regular basis.
